The moon was high. A sleek figure slid out from the water, dripping wet. It paused to shake itself off then leaped into a patch of ferns. A plump weasel was curled up next to a tree nearby. Slowly, the figure pressed itself to the ground and stalked. With a flash of teeth and claws, the weasel was dead, and the cat was licking it's teeth.
As the moon fell out of the sky, the tomcat was walking back to his Clan. He thought everyone was asleep, so he quietly placed the weasel in the fresh kill pile. He looked at the stars.
StarClan? Pff, yea right. I mean, come on! Dead cats don't turn into stars--they're dead! he thought, then chuckled to himself before slipping into the apprentice's den. He curled up in a corner, and slept, and had the strangest dream.

[shadow=black,left,300]His mother, Moonpelt, and his father, Dreamclaw were standing before him. Each one's pelt was glimmering like the stars. Rainpaw suspected nothing, that it was just a silly dream. Moonpelt padded up to him and licked his forehead.
"My son, you do not believe we are real." she mewed, tears welling in her amber eyes. Her silvery coat shimmered beautifully.
Dreamclaw hissed, "You do not believe in StarClan. You will feel our wrath, then you will have something to know us by!" he leapt at his son, pinning the apprentice to the cold rock beneath them.
Rainpaw had no idea where he was. In a cave, somewhere. He did not worry about his father, I mean, after all, this is a dream, and dreams never come true, well, except for medicine cats and stuff.
"Are you listening to me, son?!" the angry cat growled to Rainpaw.
"I don't believe in these silly fairytales anymore. I'm not a kit, Dreamclaw." his son hissed.
Dreamclaw raised his paw, unsheathing his sharp, glittering claws. Moonpelt mewed in protest and tried to stop her mate, but he pushed her away with his hind leg. The claw came down with immense force and Rainpaw could feel his blood gushing from his ear. A large hole was in the ear.
"He has gotten what he deserves." Dreamclaw muttered, and walked into the distance, dissapearing.
"I'm sorry. dear." Moonpelt mewed. "I really am, Rain--"
"Get away. Get away from me!" the apprentice hissed.
"Rainpaw, your father is just upset, do not take that personally, dear!"
"I told you to get AWAY!"
After he said that, Moonpelt vanished, but he could see her tears still on the cold, stones. Oddly enough, they were shaped like cats. Three cats.[/shadow]

When Rainpaw woke, his ear screamed with pain.
No way, I must of accidentally scratched it during my dream. That's all, no such thing as StarClan. Don't dwell on silly dreams you fool! Rainpaw told himself.
"Just a dream..."

A she-cat was lying in the warrior's den, mourning. All the cats she loved, they were dead. Her sister and brothers, her best friend, her parents. The only cat that was left was Rainpaw, and he hated her. But Birdclaw loved him like a son. The melancholy cat slid out of the den and looked at the stars. Eight stars stood out to her. She looked at them harder, and saw cats in them. Her brothers and sister, her mother and father, her best friend and her mate. Birdclaw laid down on her back and watched the stars as she drifted off into a dream.

[shadow=black,left,300]She found herself at the camp, right where she was, but she was standing, and there were cats around her. Eight cats? She tried to figure out who they were.
"Do you not know who we are, my friend? Surely I thought you would figure it out..." a silver colored she-cat mewed.
"Moonpelt! And Mother and Father! And Redpelt and Bluekit and Mousepaw and Flowerkit! And... who are you...?" she asked the tom standing next to Moonpelt.
"Dreamclaw. And thank you for taking care of our kit and burying us. We appreciate it." he dipped his head.
Birdclaw's brothers and sister crowded around her.
"We miss you so much! It's no fun watching you, so we decided to come visit." said her sister, Flowerkit.
"Yea, I should have been more careful." meowed Bluekit, her brother. "I should have seen that bird."
"And I should have run faster."
"And I shouldn't have tried to fight that dog."
"It's alright, we're together..." mewed Birdclaw, nuzzling all her deceased siblings. "And mother and father, I missed you."
They dipped their heads.
"It is almost morning, we must leave now..." Dreamclaw meowed, and all of her loved ones disappeared into thin air.[/shadow]

"What are you doing on the ground?" he mewed, trying to stifle a laugh.
